- Media Project Manager, Learning & Teaching Solutions (LTS): "LTS is the media production centre of The Open University. We are looking for additional media professionals to develop web materials for The Open University’s Centre for Continuing Professional Development (CCPD).
"Do you have an excellent record of managing media production and building successful relationships with clients? You will lead a team of media developers working on web-based distance-learning materials for the CCPD.
"Reporting to the media account manager, you will manage the development of learning materials from early planning through to the finished product. You will work closely with academic and media production staff on specifications, product development and delivery of course materials to quality, time and budget."
- Research Fellow: Context-sensitive and Multimedia Search, Knowledge Media Institute (KMi) : "KMi has an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to undertake research within the context of an EPSRC-funded project, Renaissance, which aims to investigate context-sensitive information retrieval based on quantum theory, with applications to cross-media search and structured document access. Based on Professor Keith van Rijsbergen's pioneering work in quantum-theory based framework for information retrieval, this is a joint project between the Open University, the University of Glasgow and Queen Mary University of London. The Open University will mainly focus on contributing to the development of a unified framework for the representation, evolution and interaction of contexts, implementing and evaluating the framework in large scale multimedia search tasks, such as TRECVID and INEX Multimedia Track."
As ever, I have nothing to do with any of the above, but if you're up for interview, get one of the posts etc etc, and I'm around at the time, ping me and let's go for coffee ;-)
