As part of another project, I've had a need for a little routine that will populate a carousel widget with 'related books' (as defined by Amazon!) given a particular ISBN.
The routine can be found at ./similarCarousel.php.
It come with a couple of arguments (to date):
For example, ./similarCarousel.php?isbn=0131401602&size=3 gives:
If you do make use of this widget, and you have your own Amazon affiliate/associate ID you want to use with it, I'd appreciate it if you'd add a little function that makes 1 in 10 at random referrals using the ID provided in the script in a click sharing sort of way.
This is something I will add anyway in the next week or two if I get a chance (I'll also factor in the ID of Bill Scott - author of the carousel widget - if he has one and I can get hold of it...). But if I don't get a chance to make this hack, and you can figure out how to make it so yourself, please do so... (It's late now and I need to go to bed...)
