Google OpenSocial - Will Flock Steal the Day...? ;-)

The blogosphere is pre-announcing Google OpenSocial, "a set of common APIs for building social applications across the web, for developers of social applications and websites that want to add social features." (Venturebeat has a copy of the draft press release, and the usual suspects are posting: TechCrunch, GigaOM, Read/Write Web, Rev2 etc.

One of my first thoughts was how timely this is for Flock, in the context of the Flock People sidebar that's available in the Flock 1.0 Beta...
