Meetings - its seems to me - rely on the assumption that there is one particular time and place for everything...
...but if we have an open communication channel, what's wrong with discussing things that need discussing here and now, or at least as and when it's appropriate/relevant/necessary/required...?
Like in an email thread or collaborative document creation environment, for example...?
(Can you tell I've just been looking through my mailbox, which is filled with attempts to schedule meetings that were then cancelled, or postponed (and hence required yet another round of time consuming scheduling...)!)

Hopefully, with Documentum about to go live to the pilot units on the 1st Oct, we will be able to put our focus into getting our eRoom production environment built, so people can have threaded discussions around the content items, link to calendars, cc' thier emails to a project inbox etc... so maybe this will help ?
