Social Bookmarking Workshop Slides

As part of a two day (today and tomorrow) OU internal Learning and Teaching Conference(which I've been live blogging throughout the day - see previous few posts) I gave an hour long workshop today on social bookmarking.

The workshop was an interactive affair - the participants all ended up using a locally hosted version of the open source Scuttle social bookmarking system - so it will be useful to see how mnay people carry on using the system after today.

If anyone would like to see what was covered here are the slides. I will try and add more notes to the slides over the next few days.

I've also popped up a (silent, for the moment) screencast about how to installing bookmarklets on an IE toolbar.

If anyone in the OU (faculty reps, regions, whoever) - or even anyone outside the OU - would like me to run a version of this workshop, with or without an associated discussion about how we might use social bookmarking in an OU context - whether for course delivery or for internal knowledge sharing/management - please get in touch.
