A year ago now I wrote a script to run a slide show form a delicious RSS feed. For some reason, I never posted it anywhere, possibly because it needed tidying up/styling.
Anyway - time has moved on, I still haven't styled the control panel, and I want to get this posted so I can refer to it... So:
If you want to run a slideshow or presentation of web pages, fed from a delicous RSS feed, here's a way to do it:
http://ouseful.open.ac.uk/deliShow/deliciousUsername/deliciousTag
A control panel will appear:
and a slide show of the pages listed in the corresponding delicious RSS feed (http://del.icio.us/rss/deliciousUsername/deliciousTag) will start after a short delay.
There are a couple of other arguments that can be added to the show:
&num= sets the number of 'slides' in the show before repeating;
&td= sets the delay (in seconds; default =10) between each 'slide' in the show.
Here's an example:

UPDATE 30/7/07: fichey.com (fichey blog) has all but the personalisation bit up and running in a slick interface... at the moment, it uses feeds from delicious, digg, reddit etc. If personalised feed sources are enabled, I'll be using this tool for OUseful workshops...
Posted by ajh59 at April 10, 2006 09:10 PMThe URL used in the appearing window uses MagPie...

but my simple http://del.icio.us/rss/BillyG/Vanity
just pulls up an XML version. I'm still grabbing your feed though, any ideas what the problem is? It sure seems useful for screencasts, tutorials, collaborating, sharing... all that W2 stuff lol. TIA.
